UITGELICHT / ooggetuige
Since 2013 I compile picture stories for amongst others the section ‘Uitgelicht‘ (Dutch newspaper ‘de Volkskrant’) and ‘ooggetuige‘ (Belgian newspaper De Standaard). Based on a theme I make each time a selection from my archive.
I started in April 2013 with the series ‘Aprilvis’ (April 1, ‘Fool’s Day) and showed a diverse range of postcards. The origin of the concept ‘Aprilvis’ is difficult to define. Some say it has to do with the breeding season of the fish around April 1, others interprete the fish as a symbol for Jesus. April 1 is about nine months before his birth, and therefore the ‘Aprilvis’ could be seen as the announcement of his appearance.

MOTI
The Museum of the Image (MOTI) in Breda recentely started an online museum of personal image reports, called ‘Beeldjagers’. In this image collections two series of mine are shown, both sets of photos I made in Suriname in the past years, https://nl.pinterest.com/beeldjagers/

1000 THINGS
artists, scientists, philosophers, students, musicians, theoreticians, antiquarians and so on.
One can wander within 1000 Things and come across all sorts of interesting and surprising matters. It´s a site whose source lies in The Hague, The Netherlands, but will expand and collaborate with artists and academies from all over. Information, thoughts, and ideas will make their way to the site from the corners of the world and reach an international audience.
1000 Things was conceived and designed by LUST and is maintained from the Royal Academy of Fine Art in The Hague by the editorial team together with the editor-in-chief Hanne Hagenaars.
Just one theme was delivered by me, the series of the Poisson d´Avril, the April Fish, de Aprilvis.
